“The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was founded 39 years ago, after the Turkic peace movement, which was held on one of the Emerald Islands in the Mediterranean Sea. This was the symbol of the great Turkic will against those who wanted to eliminate the Turkish presence on the island. The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been accepted as an observer to the Organisation of Turkic States. I think that this is one of the biggest steps taken towards the recognition of our fraternal country in the world,” he said.
