Azerbaijan, Iran discuss expanding cooperation in youth, sports
Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov met with Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mojtaba Demirchilou to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in youth and sports.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current state of collaboration between the two countries in these areas and explored future opportunities for growth, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The talks highlighted the significant role of youth in societal development and the potential for sports to further enhance mutual understanding and friendship between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Both officials emphasised the importance of utilising youth resources more effectively and purposefully, recognising their pivotal role in fostering positive change. As part of the discussions, they also considered the organisation of reciprocal visits between the youth and sports ministers of both nations.
Looking ahead, the meeting concluded with plans to draft a biennial cooperation program aimed at advancing bilateral sports initiatives.
