Azerbaijan, Japan hold political consultations in Baku
On October 2, Azerbaijan and Japan held a new round of political consultations in Baku, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, while the Japanese side was headed by Masaki Ishikawa, Deputy Director-General of the European Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
The talks covered political, trade, economic, investment, educational, cultural, humanitarian, energy, environmental, climate, and tourism cooperation.
Both sides highlighted the importance of continued engagement within international organisations.
Mammadov briefed the Japanese delegation on Azerbaijan’s peaceful agenda, the ongoing process of normalising relations with Armenia, as well as investment projects and reconstruction efforts in territories recently liberated from occupation.
