Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan share expertise in construction cost and standards
Representatives from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have engaged in a bilateral exchange of expertise within the construction sector.
Specialists from KazNIISA (Kazakhstan Scientific Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture) visited Azerbaijan to take part in several meetings focused on sharing knowledge and developing pricing and cost estimation systems in construction, Caliber.Az reports referencing Kazakhstani media.
The delegation was welcomed by Jabrayil Khanlarov, Head of the State Agency for Construction Safety Supervision within Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations. The official portion of the visit took place at the Main Department of the State Non-Departmental Expertise, where the event was opened by Elbrus Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Construction, and Estimated Standards of the Agency, who outlined the program's key objectives.
A conference addressing the systematic approach to estimated pricing and standards in both nations was also organized as part of the visit. The Kazakhstani delegation visited the State Non-Departmental Expertise’s estimation department, where they participated in professional discussions with Azerbaijani officials and experts on project documentation review mechanisms.
Further, the delegation toured the State Head Design Institute “Azergosproekt” (Azerdovletlayihe) to observe the estimation department’s operations and engage in meetings with its staff. During these discussions, the parties explored important issues related to construction project estimations, promoting a valuable exchange of insights and identifying potential areas for future collaboration between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Both sides expressed a strong interest in advancing joint initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing construction estimation standards and norms.
