Azerbaijan, Pakistan convene 11th working group meeting to strengthen defence cooperation PHOTO
Islamabad played host to the 11th Working Group Level Meeting between the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan and the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, marking another step forward in the deepening strategic ties between the two allied nations.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by the Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defence, while the Pakistani side was represented by the Chief of the Main Department for Foreign Military Cooperation of the Joint Staff, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
During the meeting, the two delegations reviewed the current state of defence and military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Discussions focused on the development of bilateral military ties, including training, technology exchange, and operational collaboration.
Both sides also explored future opportunities for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual strategic interest. The exchange of views reflected a shared commitment to enhancing regional security and strengthening long-term defence partnerships.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the official protocol of the 11th Working Group Level Meeting, formalizing the agreements reached and reaffirming the continued commitment to close military collaboration between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
