Azerbaijan PM, Chinese CRBC chief discuss infrastructure cooperation

Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov held a meeting on August 22 with Wang Lijun, President of the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), to discuss ongoing and future collaboration in transport and infrastructure development.

The talks centered on Azerbaijan’s recent initiatives to modernise its road and transport systems, with a particular focus on enhancing urban and suburban infrastructure in the capital, Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media. 

Key priorities include reducing traffic congestion, expanding the city’s transport network, and improving connectivity across the country.

The sides also discussed potential avenues for cooperation between Azerbaijan and CRBC, one of China’s leading state-owned infrastructure companies. Both parties emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing large-scale infrastructure projects and fostering regional connectivity.
