Erdoğan: Türkiye pursuing normalisation with Armenia in full coordination with Baku
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has emphasised that Ankara is pursuing the process of normalising relations with Armenia in strict coordination with Azerbaijan.
“After the victory, the winds of peace are blowing, and Türkiye welcomes this. We are carrying out the normalisation process with Armenia in sync with Azerbaijan,” Erdoğan said while answering journalists’ questions during his return from Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing Haber Global.
The Turkish leader said Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh was an important achievement not only for the country but for the entire Turkic world. Erdoğan recalled that Türkiye supported Baku from the very beginning.
“We said: Türkiye stands with Azerbaijan to the end, and we have kept our word.”
He also noted that following the end of hostilities in the region, trends toward peace and development are strengthening.
Significant development is currently underway in Karabakh, and these achievements are a testament to the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, he added.
The president of Türkiye expressed satisfaction with the pace of recovery and transformation in Karabakh, noting that these processes are of great significance for the stability of the entire region.
