Azerbaijan condoles Türkiye over military plane crash
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has offered condolences to Türkiye following the crash of a Turkish Air Force aircraft.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing the ministry’s official social media page on X, the statement reads:
“The news of the crash in Georgian territory involving a C130 military cargo aircraft, operated by our brotherly Türkiye and en route from Azerbaijan, has profoundly shocked us. In connection with this tragic loss, we extend our deep condolences to the Turkish Armed Forces, the families of the deceased, and the entire brotherly Turkish nation. Azerbaijan stands always alongside brotherly Türkiye.”

According to a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Defence, a C130 military cargo plane, departing from Azerbaijan for Türkiye, crashed near the Georgia–Azerbaijan border.
“A C130 military cargo plane belonging to Türkiye, which departed from Azerbaijan for our country, crashed near the Georgia-Azerbaijan border,” says the statement.
“Search and rescue operations have begun in coordination with Georgian authorities,” the statement added.
