Azerbaijan's Ombusdman appeals to int'l community over deadly mine incident

Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva has appealed to the world community in connection with the death of civilians as a result of a mine explosion in the country's Tartar region.

Report was told in the Office of the Ombudsman that the appeal reads:

“Mine terror and the policy of hatred against Azerbaijanis carried out by Armenia at the state level lead to the death of innocent people.

With deep regret, I inform you that on April 28 of this year, in the territory of the village of Talysh, Tartar region, three civilians were killed as a result of a mine explosion. May Allah rest the souls of our compatriots who have become victims of yet another mine terror in Armenia! I express my condolences to their families, relatives, and friends!”
