Azerbaijan's sports minister attends Phygital Sports summit in Kazakhstan
Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gaibov, is participating in the Phygital Sports Summit Astana 2026, held in Kazakhstan's capital as part of the international multisport tournament Games of the Future.
According to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the summit brings together sports ministers, international sports officials, technology companies, and experts to discuss the future of sport and digital innovation, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Kazakhstan's Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerbol Myrzabosynov, opened the event with a welcoming address.
Sports ministers from the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Azerbaijan are taking part in the summit alongside representatives of international sports organisations and technology firms.
The program includes panel discussions on the development of phygital sports, international cooperation, digital technologies, innovation, and the future of the global sports industry.
Organisers say the summit is intended to serve as a platform for exchanging expertise and developing joint initiatives to advance the international phygital sports movement.
The Games of the Future events are also expected to be attended by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
