Azerbaijan sends amphibious plane for extinguishing forest fires in Türkiye's Izmir PHOTO/VIDEO

In accordance with the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the amphibious aircraft of “BE-200ChS” type of aviation detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations sent to help the brotherly country in fighting severe forest fires has arrived in Türkiye.

On August 17, the Ministry stated the amphibious aircraft, which landed at Adnan Menderes airport in Izmir, was set to soon start extinguishing the fire, Caliber.Az reports.

In recent days, forest fires have been recorded on the territory of Türkiye, hundreds of vehicles, dozens of helicopters and airplanes have been sent to fight them. Helicopters of the Turkish Armed Forces have also been involved in extinguishing the fire.
