Azerbaijan, Spain paralympic committees sign cooperation deal
The Azerbaijan National Paralympic Committee and the Spanish Paralympic Committee have signed a memorandum of cooperation to strengthen bilateral ties and expand collaboration in the development of para sports.
According to the Azerbaijan National Paralympic Committee, the agreement establishes a framework for closer institutional cooperation, with a focus on sharing expertise and implementing joint initiatives to support the growth of Paralympic sport in both countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The memorandum includes cooperation in para sports governance through the exchange of best practices, as well as the organisation of joint training camps, seminars, and educational programs for athletes and coaches.
The two committees also agreed to work together on the training and development of national and international classifiers, whose role is to assess athletes' eligibility and sport classifications in Paralympic competition.
In addition, the agreement covers cooperation in media, public relations, and marketing, alongside joint efforts to promote the Paralympic movement at both the national and international levels.
