Azerbaijan to develop strategy to combat terrorism financing
Azerbaijan will develop a three-year strategy for sectoral control over the legalisation of property acquired as a result of crime and the financing of terrorism by November 2023.
This has been stipulated in the national action plan to combat the legalisation of property acquired as a result of crime and the financing of terrorism for 2023-2025, approved by the Azerbaijani President on February 28, according to Caliber.Az.
Moreover, a specialised structural agency will be established in the supervisory organisations. According to the action plan, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations and the Ministry of Justice should work to optimise the number of their employees specialising in this field, introduce regular and targeted training programmes and strengthen human resources during 2023.
