Azerbaijan, Iran chart future course for bilateral relations
The current state and prospects of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations were the focal points of a meeting between Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, and a delegation led by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
The discussions highlighted the importance of further enhancing cooperation in key areas such as the economy, transportation, energy, trade, investment, and humanitarian efforts, as well as the continuation of joint projects, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The sides also exchanged views on regional issues and other matters of mutual interest.
Shahin Mustafayev is currently in Iran to attend the 16th session of the Joint Interstate Commission on Economic, Trade, and Humanitarian Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran.
The 15th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Iran Commission on Economic, Trade, and Humanitarian Cooperation took place in Baku on March 11.
The session was co-chaired by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi, with the participation of authorized representatives from relevant agencies of both countries.
