Azerbaijan condoles with Türkiye over hotel fire tragedy
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has extended its heartfelt condolences to Türkiye following a devastating fire at a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort, located in the Bolu province. The tragic incident resulted in multiple deaths and injuries.
In a statement posted on social media, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and the suffering caused by the fire, Caliber.Az reports.

The Ministry conveyed its condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as to the friendly and brotherly nation of Türkiye.
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and injuries sustained in the fire at a hotel in the Kartalkaya resort. In connection with this tragedy, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, and wish a swift and full recovery to those injured," the statement read.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Local media suggested that the wooden cladding on the hotel's exterior may have accelerated the spread of the fire.
A fire at a ski resort hotel in Türkiye has killed at least 10 people and injured 32.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the blaze broke out in the hotel's restaurant in Kartalkaya, in the country's northwest, on January 21 night.
The governor of Bolu province, where the resort is located, told state-run news agency Anadolu that two of the victims died after jumping out of the building in panic.
According to Bolu Governor Abdulaziz Aydın, the hotel had 234 guests at the time of the accident.
