Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye confirm support for countries' territorial integrity
Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye have confirmed their firm support for countries' territorial integrity.
Acting Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov made the statement at a briefing after the first Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Türkiye meeting held in the format of dialogue, Report informs.
"Today we have confirmed our firm and unconditional support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognised borders of each country, emphasising the importance of further strengthening cooperation through the development of transport links and information and communication infrastructure. We expressed our readiness to continue coordinating efforts within the framework of international organisations, of which Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye are members," he said.
The Uzbek official described the meeting as "a logical continuation of high-level negotiations and a completely new format of cooperation between the three strategically close partner states, which creates a unique opportunity for a comprehensive discussion of topical issues of regional and international politics".
Norov also noted that the parties discussed preparations for the first summit of the Organisation of the Turkic States, which will be held in Uzbekistan in November this year.
