Journalists visited one of the military units of the Azerbaijani Air Force, a special branch of Azerbaijan's Armed Forces with a 106-year history, Azertac reports, presenting an article about the activities of Azerbaijani falcons.
Among them are servicemen who inscribed their names in the annals of Victory, heroism, and valor. These individuals showed courage and fortitude in battles, with some giving their lives for the Fatherland, becoming martyrs. Five Air Force servicemen were honored with the title of Hero of the Patriotic War.
The Air Force has established training centers, courses for warrant officers, advanced training for officers, and courses for reserve officers. Thanks to the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, the Air Force is successfully developing. During the Patriotic War, both flight and technical personnel of the Air Force performed their tasks tirelessly around the clock.
"The Su-25 attack aircraft in service with the Azerbaijani Army during the Patriotic War performed long-range target shootings with great accuracy. I am proud of my participation in the Second Karabakh War. The president highly appreciated our activities and awarded us with medals and orders."
