Azerbaijani army holds training-methodical sessions with artillery chiefs VIDEO

The Azerbaijani army has conducted training-methodical sessions with the Army Corps artillery chiefs and Land Forces formations under the training plan approved by the Minister of Defence for 2023.

First, officers’ theoretical knowledge of conducting modern combined arms combat was checked, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

During the sessions, classes were held on deploying control points in conditions close to combat, conducting the necessary estimation, determining the target coordinates by means of optical devices, maintaining interoperability between units, fire control, and other issues.

At the end of the theoretical classes, conducted at nighttime and in the daylight hours, the units professionally fulfilled the tasks of firing at imaginary enemy targets.

It should be noted that the main objective of the training-methodical sessions is to improve the fire control abilities of artillery officers and further increase their knowledge and skills.

Azerbaijan periodically holds drills to improve its military personnel’s combat readiness.

The drills also aim to improve interaction and combat coordination between the servicemen during operations, as well as to develop commanders' military decision-making and unit management skills.
