Azerbaijani expert: Armenia falsifies about 1,600 Azerbaijani toponyms
Executive Director of Baku International Multiculturalism Center Ravan Hasanov has said that Armenian had falsified and widely modified around 1,600 Azerbaijani toponyms, hydronyms and oronyms so far.
Hasanov made the statement during the event arranged for the presentation of the book "Onomastics of the truth", which covers the aforementioned facts, as well as the purposeful destruction of many Azerbaijani settlements, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
“All this was done with the aim of erasing the traces of Azerbaijanis who had lived in the territory of the present Republic of Armenia for centuries,” he stressed.
The executive director noted that the book’s electronic version is also prepared.
"This book will be very useful in suing Armenia. ‘Onomastics of Truth’ is the result of 700 pages of research work,” he added.
