Mauritius president welcomes prominent Azerbaijani religious leader PHOTO
President of Mauritius Dharambeer Gokhool has received Allahshukur Pashazada, co-chair of the World Council of the organisation Religions for Peace and chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO).
During the meeting, Pashazada recalled the Mauritian president’s recent visit to Azerbaijan for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 and conveyed greetings from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Gokhool, in turn, described Azerbaijan as a beautiful and hospitable country led by a wise president and asked that his greetings be conveyed to Aliyev.
Pashazada is currently in Mauritius to participate in the annual meeting of the World Council of Religions for Peace, which is taking place from June 23 to 26.
As part of the event, he is scheduled to speak at a session focused on artificial intelligence, human rights, and multifaith perspectives on AI.
