Azerbaijani FM describes OTS as important regional organisation for peace, stability
At the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Gabala, the need to strengthen cooperation among member countries in the military and defence sectors was highlighted, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said.
He made the remarks at a press conference following the summit, Caliber.Az reports, per local media.
“The summit has proven that the OTS is an important regional organisation ensuring peace and stability. We are confident that the decisions adopted will contribute to strengthening friendship and cooperation among Turkic states,” the minister said.
Hosted by President Ilham Aliyev under the theme "Regional Peace and Security," the gathering—spanning October 6–7—brought together heads of state from member nations, observers, and international dignitaries, marking Azerbaijan's chairmanship handoff from Kyrgyzstan and underscoring Baku's growing clout as a geopolitical linchpin.
