Azerbaijani parliament approves abolition of double taxation between Azerbaijan, Japan

Double taxation between Azerbaijan and Japan regarding income tax has been abolished.

The amendments to the bill on the approval of the Convention on the Elimination of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion in respect of income taxes between Azerbaijan and Japan were proposed at the plenary session of the parliament on April 4, Report informs.

The draft amendments were put to the vote and adopted.

The two countries signed a convention on the abolition of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income in 2022.

The document was signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov from the Azerbaijani side while by Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada from the Japanese side.
