Azerbaijani police seize 90 kg of drugs, detain 32 suspected drug dealers PHOTO/VIDEO

Police have seized 90 kg of drugs and detained 32 drug traffickers as part of operations held across Azerbaijan. 

As a result of operational search measures carried out in Baku and districts over the past 25 days, 90 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, 2,815 psychotropic pills and 75 cultivated cannabis bushes were seized, Caliber.Az reports, quoting the Interior Ministry press service.

Some 32 members of an organised criminal group were detained on charges of luring citizens into drug trafficking via social media and conducting online drug sales.

Criminal cases were initiated under relevant articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen by the courts against each detained person as they confessed to being involved in drug trafficking.
