Azerbaijani President, First Vice-President express condolences on deaths of Turkish residents in explosion in Istanbul
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev sent on November 13 a letter of condolence to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the death of Turkish residents in an explosion in Istanbul.
According to the Azerbaijani president's press service, the letter reads:
"Dear Mr President,
My dear brother,
We were deeply shocked by the news of casualties and injuries resulting from a treacherous explosion in the centre of Istanbul.
On the occasion of this tragedy, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deep condolences to you, the families and loved ones of those who were killed, and the brotherly people of Türkiye, and wish the injured recovery.
May Allah rest their souls in peace!"
Meanwhile, First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has also sent a letter of condolences to Türkiye's First Lady Emine Erdogan on the same occasion.
“We are extremely saddened by the news of the death and injury of people due to an explosion that occurred in the city of Istanbul. Sharing your grief over this tragedy, I express my deep condolences to you, the families and loved ones of the victims, and the brotherly people of Turkey, and wish healing to the wounded," the letter reads, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
