Azerbaijani presidential aide describes restoration of liberated lands as unique experience

Restoration of liberated territories of Azerbaijan is a unique experience that can be shared with the international community.

Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, said this at the signing of the agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the United Nations (UN) on holding the 13th session of the World Urban Development Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026, Report informs.

Hajiyev said that 9 cities and hundreds of settlements of Azerbaijan were completely destroyed during the 30-year occupation.

The presidential aide added that Azerbaijan will try to hold the World Urban Development Forum at a high level, working closely with partners.

"I would like to thank all UN structures for supporting Azerbaijan," Hajiyev said.
