Bucharest to host next meeting of Azerbaijani-Romanian intergovernmental commission
Bucharest will host the 7th meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Relations and Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania.
Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population, co-chairman of the commission Sahil Babayev made the remarks while receiving Romanian Ambassador to the country Vasile Soare on May 13, the ministry told Trend.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Azerbaijani-Romanian relations are constantly developing and today they are at the level of strategic partnership.
Over the past period, 61 documents were signed that serve to expand bilateral cooperation. As another indicator of the development of economic ties, a 2.4-fold increase in trade turnover between the two countries was noted last year.
The activities of the joint commission between the governments of Azerbaijan and Romania, which contributes to the expansion of cooperation in various fields, were noted.
An exchange of views took place on issues of bilateral cooperation, and issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission were discussed.
