Caucasus Muslims Office commends Azerbaijan's contribution to interreligious, intercultural dialogue
Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has met with Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Mohamed Abdelsalam, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
Pashazade spoke about Azerbaijan's contribution to the interreligious and intercultural dialogue and cooperation at the international level under global initiatives and the patronage of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.
He also informed Abdelsalam about prestigious events of international importance held by Azerbaijan in this sphere.
Mohamed Abdelsalam conveyed the greetings of Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, Imam Ahmed El-Tayeb.
The importance of interfaith dialogue in the Islamic world was emphasised during the conversation, and Azerbaijan was highlighted as a successful example.
The further prospects for cooperation between the Caucasus Muslims Office and the Muslim Council of Elders were also discussed at the meeting.
