Consulate General gets in touch with Azerbaijani family living in tent in Iran’s Elgolu Park Statement by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Aykhan Hajizada has said that the Azerbaijani Consulate General got in touch with a family who took its children from the Republic of Azerbaijan to Tabriz for medical treatment and was unable to return and is currently living in a tent in Elgolu Park.
“Despite the appropriate permission for this family to enter the Republic of Azerbaijan by car, the family stated that the medical treatment is still ongoing,” Hajizada said in response to APA's request.
The information has gone viral in Telegram that a family that left the Republic of Azerbaijan for Tabriz for the medical treatment of children cannot return and is living in a tent in Elgolu Park.
After this information was spread, some Tabriz residents went to the park to help the family. Tabriz residents stressed that the information was exaggerated and was not clarified.
Social network users from Tabriz who visited the park on November 27 noted that the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Tabriz had taken the family from the park to the consulate building two days earlier.
