Nizami Ganjavi Centre, UN to host key multilateralism summit in Switzerland
The 35th High-Level Meeting, themed “Reshaping Multilateralism in an Era of Divides and Transformation,” will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, on January 15–16. The event is organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre in partnership with the United Nations Office at Geneva.
The meeting will bring together more than 50 high-level participants from over 30 countries, including former heads of state and government, heads of UN agencies, representatives of international organizations, and prominent experts, Caliber.Az reports per state media.
The discussions will focus on global challenges, the future of multilateral cooperation, and transformation processes within the international system.
Senior leaders and representatives from major international organizations are also expected to attend, including the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).
The High-Level Meetings, co-organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre and the UN Office at Geneva, provide an important international platform for promoting multilateral cooperation, addressing key issues on the global agenda, and strengthening international dialogue.
