Azerbaijan, US discuss cooperation in trade, energy
On January 12, Azerbaijan and the US discussed the current state of cooperation in energy, investment, trade, and regional communications, including the TRIPP route.
The talks took place during a meeting in Baku between Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov and US delegation led by Carl Kress, Regional Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) for the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Eurasia, Caliber.Az reports.
The parties discussed the TRIPP route, as well as opportunities for U.S. private sector representatives to explore Azerbaijan’s infrastructure and logistics potential.
Mammadov and Kress highly valued these discussions in the context of preparing the Strategic Partnership Charter following the Washington summit on August 8 last year.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on Azerbaijan’s key role in regional energy security, the development of renewable energy, the diversification of trade routes within the Middle Corridor, the country’s favourable business and investment environment, and opportunities to establish new connections.
