Cybersecurity chief: AI to enhance Azerbaijan's cyber defence
Azerbaijan is poised to bolster its cyber defence capabilities through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, according to Ilgar Musayev, head of the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security.
Speaking at the training session on "New Methods of Cyber Defense Supported by Artificial Intelligence for Wireless Communication" in Baku, Musayev emphasized the dual nature of the digital age, which presents both significant opportunities and formidable challenges, Caliber.Az reports referring to local media.
He highlighted the critical role of wireless communication in various sectors, including "smart city" and "smart village" initiatives, as well as in everyday life. However, Musayev cautioned that the increasing sophistication of cyber threats targeting these systems poses serious risks to national security and economic stability.
Musayev further elaborated on the transformative potential of AI in strengthening cyber defence strategies, noting its capability to automatically detect threats, analyze vast streams of data, and pinpoint vulnerabilities with greater precision. "By leveraging AI-based technologies, we can enhance our ability to identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats in real time," he stated.
