Azerbaijani servicemen have joined the multinational peacekeeping exercises Platinum Wolf 2025, currently underway in Serbia.
According to the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry's statement, cited by Caiber.Az, the exercises, hosted by the Serbian Armed Forces in cooperation with the US European Command, bring together more than 700 soldiers from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States of America, Montenegro, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
The drills began earlier this month and are scheduled to run until June 27.
Throughout the exercises, participants are engaging in a wide array of peacekeeping and operational training scenarios. These include live-fire missions, foot and vehicle patrols, tactical operations in urban environments, crowd and riot control, checkpoint management, handling detainees, administering first aid to the wounded, and protection against weapons of mass destruction.
Platinum Wolf is Serbia’s flagship multinational tactical drill, launched in 2014 to enhance regional and global interoperability in peace-support operations. Hosted annually at the “South Base” and “Borovac” training grounds, the 2025 edition focuses on preparing forces for deployment in international peacekeeping missions.
The exercise not only strengthens practical skills in battlefield and urban scenarios but also fosters strategic military partnerships among participating nations.
