Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha welcomed the leaders of the Nordic-Baltic Eight – including the prime ministers of Estonia, Latvia, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the president of Finland – describing them as Ukraine’s close allies in the defence of freedom, justice, and truth, Caliber.Az reports.
Pleased to welcome the leaders of the Nordic-Baltic Eight, our true and close allies in the defense of freedom, justice, and truth.

"Thank you for your steadfast and unwavering support for Ukraine and our shared European values and principles," he wrote on X.
Sybiha also greeted the Croatian delegation, highlighting Croatia’s support and solidarity with Ukraine on this symbolic date.
"We are grateful to friendly Croatia for its support and solidarity. Thank you for being with us on this symbolic date," Sybiha noted.
Earlier in the day, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kyiv, where she was met by Sybiha with a yellow-and-blue bouquet. European Council President António Costa also traveled to the Ukrainian capital as part of the high-level visit.
During their stay, the leaders are scheduled to participate in a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and the Ukraine–Nordic-Baltic Summit. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his guests will take part in a prayer for Ukraine, honour the memory of fallen defenders, and visit an energy infrastructure facility damaged by shelling.
