European sanctions paralyse Armenian airline's work
European anti-Russia sanctions have paralysed the work of the Armenian airline.
The director of the Armenian airline Armavia, Gevorg Khachatryan, stated this on the social networking platform, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
Due to European sanctions, many lessors have begun to recall their aircraft, which is why airlines around the world are facing problems, he said.
According to him, air carriers are experiencing a shortage of airliners, which makes the timely organisation of flights problematic and leads to delays in scheduled flights.
Khachatryan noted that the company's scheduled flights to Moscow and Hurghada were delayed for this reason. He apologised for the inconvenience and said that all necessary compensation to passengers will be carried out.
