Pezeshkian reaffirms Iran-Russia ties, calls Moscow trusted partner PHOTO
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to strengthening strategic ties with Moscow, describing Iran and Russia as reliable partners.
Speaking during a meeting in Tehran with Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev, Pezeshkian added that the two countries intend to accelerate the implementation of bilateral agreements and remove obstacles hindering the execution of joint projects, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Iranian presidential press service.
The president noted that developing relations with Russia remains one of the key priorities of Iran’s foreign policy.

“Highlighting the broad scope of cooperation between the two countries, the president pointed to opportunities in energy, oil and gas, petrochemicals, industry, trade in essential goods, transportation corridors, and other economic sectors. He said the political commitment demonstrated by senior officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, should be matched by faster progress in implementing joint initiatives.
President Pezeshkian also underlined the importance of expanding cooperation through regional and international organizations such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Eurasian framework, and Caspian Sea partnerships,” the press service stated.
For his part, Tsivilev praised Tehran’s foreign policy and said that Russia respects Iran’s resilience in the face of external pressure.
