Flights from Russia to Azerbaijan to increase

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) has reported an increase in the number of flights from Russia to Azerbaijan.

Rosaviatsiya has recently issued 53 permits for Russian airplanes to fly abroad, Report informs, citing the Russian media.

In the previous years, most flights were carried out to European resorts, even to Italy, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now the flights are mainly implemented to neighbouring states, primarily the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The flights are now mostly to neighbouring countries, primarily the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Russia lifted COVID restrictions on flights to Azerbaijan on March 9.

Flights are operated under the Russian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental air transport agreement.
