Former military personnel in Yerevan to be questioned in trial of former Karabakh separatist commander

A number of former military officers will be invited to Armenia's Anti-Corruption Court to testify in the case of former Karabakh separatist forces commander Mikayel Arzumanyan.

Caliber.Az reports citing Zhokhovurd newspaper that in particular former Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Karabakh separatist leader Araik Harutyunyan, former commander of Karabakh separatist forces Jalal Harutyunyan, and former head of Armenian General Staff Onik Gasparyan will be invited.

Arzumanyan was detained on August 30, 2022, on charges of negligence in defending Shusha during the 44-day war. On September 1, 2022, he was arrested. On April 14, 2023, the case, with an indictment, was sent to court.
