Galatasaray president thanks Azerbaijan

Turkish Galatasaray football club's President Dursun Ozbek has thanked Azerbaijan after the charity match played with Qarabağ FK in Baku on March 26.

“The friendly match we held with the distinguished team of the brotherly country, Qarabağ FK, the profit from which was transferred to our citizens affected by the earthquake, made us very happy," Ozbek's message was published on Galatasaray's official Twitter page, Caliber.Az informs.

"President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva honoured us by visiting the match organized at the Baku Olympic Stadium. Once again, I am grateful to the people of Azerbaijan for the warm welcome."

The friendly charity match in Baku on March 26 ended in the 2:1 victory of Galatasaray.
