Georgia can make contribution to regional peace - foreign minister
Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili has expressed his hopes that the Azerbaijani president's visit to Tbilisi can make "greater contribution" to peace and stability in the region.
He noted that Georgia's position on the issue of peace and stability in the region is well known, and all related issues will be discussed during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
“Georgia's position is known to everyone. In our region, peace and stability are of particular importance. Georgia always declares that it is ready to make a significant contribution to stability and peace in the region. During this visit there will be an opportunity to discuss these issues. I am convinced that the meeting within the framework of the working visit will discuss how Georgia can make a greater contribution to peace and stability,” the minister stressed.
