Import volume from China to Russia up by 1.5 times
The import volume from China to Russia increased by 1.5 times to $90.08 billion in January-October 2023 compared to the same period of last year.
The main driver of growth is the supply of passenger cars from China. The import in monetary terms jumped nine times to $9.38 billion. Import of auto parts also increased by 1.5 times up to $1.66 billion, Gazeta.Ru reports, citing the China Customs.
The supply of tractors from China during the 10 months of 2023 increased by more than 10 times compared to the same period of last year.
The export of equipment from China to Russia reached almost $34 billion in 2023, which is 43 per cent more than in 2022 and 1.5 times more than in 2021. Beijing has increased supplies of industrial and household equipment to Moscow, including refrigerators and dishwashers.
