Indian IT giant Infosys has confirmed the closure of its representative office in Russia
Major Indian software company Infosys is closing its representative office in Russia amid a special military operation in Ukraine. Salila Pareha, CEO of the IT giant, confirmed this information to NDTV on Thursday.
“We have begun moving our business and all of our work outside of Russia,” said Parekh, when asked to comment on the impact of the situation in Ukraine on the company's operations.
He said that less than 100 people work for Infosys in Russia. As the CEO clarified, “the company has no clients in the Russian Federation”, and the Russian representative office serves customers around the world. However, according to him, "Infosys is concerned about the developments in the region", so it has decided to close the office in Moscow. “We will help employees in Russia to relocate and find work in other offices, especially in Eastern Europe,” added Parekh.
