Iranian army, IRGC launch major air drills

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian army have launched large-scale exercises of their air and military space forces.

“Joint special air defence exercises have begun ... of elite units and air defence systems of the air defence forces, the aerospace forces of the IRGC and the air force of the Iranian army,” according to the news agency Tasnim.

Also Commander Brigadier General Qader Rahimzadeh added that during the exercise, over a hundred drones and aircraft will simulate situations involving an attack on power plants and a number of other incidents.
