Israel, Hamas remain far from truce agreement PM Netanyahu says
05 September 2024 21:26
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel and Hamas are still far from reaching a truce agreement regarding the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu refuted media reports suggesting that a deal is imminent, describing such claims as "completely wrong", Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Netanyahu acknowledged that Israel had agreed to several proposals put forth by mediators from the United States, Qatar, and Egypt. However, he noted that each time, Hamas has rejected the terms presented.
The ongoing negotiations have yet to bridge the significant gaps between the parties, prolonging the conflict and complicating efforts toward a cease-fire.
