Israeli military reports destruction of weapons depot in southern Gaza Photo / Video

Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have destroyed a weapons storage facility in southern Gaza, identifying multiple secondary explosions indicating the presence of large quantities of ammunition, according to a military statement released on July 29.

The operation, carried out by Division 36 in the Khan Younis area under Southern Command and with intelligence support from the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the Shin Bet security agency, also included targeted airstrikes on militant infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports, per IDF.

Several operatives were reportedly killed during the strikes.

Simultaneously, Division 98 continued expanding its ground operations in the northern Gaza areas of Shuja'iyya and Zeitoun.

Forces there are focused on dismantling militant infrastructure and degrading the enemy’s ability to conduct rocket and projectile launches.

In northern Gaza, Divisions 162 and 99 are engaged in operations to destroy terrorist infrastructure both above and below ground. Ground forces reportedly eliminated several militants over the past 24 hours.

The Israeli Air Force carried out dozens of strikes across the Strip during the same period.

Targets included armed militants, military structures, rocket launch positions, weapons depots, combat tunnels, and other facilities described as part of the terror infrastructure.
