Italy still hesitates to send arms to Ukraine

Italy’s Defence Minister Guido Crosetto has said that his country had decided not to send military aid, including weapons, to Ukraine until the end of this year.

"I assure you that there will be no new decree [on military supplies to Kyiv] before the year-end. We will see what decision the government will make about future aid to Ukraine and what it will mean," Italian news service ANSA quotes Crosetto as saying.

The Italian minister also stressed that requests are now coming from Ukraine regarding infrastructure issues amid an energy shortage.
