July conscription for active military service ends in Azerbaijan

In accordance with the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev on June 1, 2022, the regular conscription for active military service ended.

According to Report, the execution of the Decree has been ensured by State Service for Mobilization and Conscription (SSMC) and the completion of Azerbaijani Armed Forces with conscripts ended successfully in July.

According to the order, from 1 to 30 July 2022, the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2004, who will be 18 years old on the draft day (including this day), as well as those born in 1987-2003, under the age of 35, who have not passed the term of active military service, who have no right to defer the conscription for urgent military service or were not exempted from conscription for urgent military service in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan were sent to active military service.
