Kremlin silent on reports of Syrian president's alleged visit to Moscow
The Kremlin has declined to comment on reports circulating in Telegram channels regarding a potential visit by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to Moscow.
Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, responded to journalists' inquiries by stating, "I have nothing to say on this issue," Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media.
Peskov's brief response came after requests for confirmation about Assad's reported visit to the Russian capital.
The details of Assad’s alleged visit remain unverified, and the Kremlin has refrained from providing any official statement on the matter.
According to Telegram channels, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Moscow on November 28.
Preparations are underway for a meeting between Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the source said.
The visit comes at a time of heightened conflict in Syria, with discussions expected to focus on the ongoing situation and bilateral cooperation between Russia and Syria.
