Macron intends to dicuss regional situation with Aliyev after Pashinyan
France calls for de-escalation and resumption of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The remarks came from French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 26, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
"Paris is convinced that the use of force cannot be the solution for either side, and that dialogue must be resumed without delay," Macron said.
According to him, all issues should be resolved only through negotiations.
Meanwhile, during the meeting with the Armenian prime minister, Macron said that he intended to talk with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in the next few hours.
"France will do everything to make the South Caucasus a stable, reliable and prosperous region," Macron pledged.
