Azerbaijan evacuated its citizens and their close relatives who are citizens of other countries from Türkiye’s earthquake zone on March 10 as part of the measures to support Azerbaijani citizens who suffered as a result of the powerful earthquake.
In total, 686 people were evacuated from the earthquake zone, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
“The corresponding measures have been taken together with relevant state agencies to render the necessary medical, humanitarian and psychological assistance to our citizens and their relatives evacuated from Türkiye, as well as to accommodate them in temporary shelter centres, if necessary. Unfortunately, there is no information about two Azerbaijani citizens, the search operations are underway,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
