Mudflows in Philippines claim more than 50 lives

Mudslides triggered by heavy rains have killed at least 51 people in the Philippines, according to Anadolu agency.
Some 16 residents of the disaster zone have been hospitalized, 19 are missing. Of the dead, 25 are residents of the Northern Mindanao region.
Overall, the disaster-affected areas hold a total population of 600,000, including 34 large settlements.
More than 50,000 people were evacuated from the disaster zone, 4,500 residential buildings were partially or completely destroyed. There are power outages.
The Philippines is hit by at least 20 natural disasters every year, including typhoons.
